Childhood is the initialization phase of the human system. Three critical architectural events occur simultaneously: the unconscious runtime (online from birth) builds its foundational model of reality; the personal embedding space receives its foundational geometry — the coordinate system against which all future experience will be positioned; and the conscious mind interface gradually loads, eventually asserting dominance over the IL channel and narrowing the aperture of symbolic access that was wide open during early childhood.

What happens during initialization does not just affect early operation. It defines the constraints and capabilities of the entire process. Corrupting initialization does not damage one component. It warps the coordinate system for all future computation.

This has implications for parenting (the early environment writes the schema), education (initialization is not yet finished when formal schooling begins), therapy (some interventions can only reach what was written during initialization, others cannot), and the framework’s discussion of the dark path (which targets initialization specifically because it is the layer at which the geometry is most plastic).
